“For me, the Parasailor has still been are best buy for our Atlantic Circuit. I feel completely safe with it. From the Azores to Brest we flew it for 5 days non-stop. Fantastic!”

Pauli en Tjebbe Kleijn, Spirit 41

“When we sailed through the Messina Strait in 25 knots of wind, using only our Parasailor, I joked that we could store the mainsail below deck — we hadn’t needed it for the entire trip anyway! We are absolutely convinced that the Parasailor is an essential sail for cruising catamarans, whether on shorter passages or long voyages. It is easy to set, easy to douse, and remarkably forgiving in shifting winds thanks to its self-trimming design. We trimmed it comfortably up to 60 degrees AWA and flew through the Strait beautifully, always in full control.”

Rick & Barbara Heinen, Fountaine Pajot Orana 44

“The Parasailor is our favourite sail! 9 knots of speed with 188 m² – a super sail. You can leisurely enjoy the trip, the Parasailor keeps you on course. It is simply an amazing experience sailing the Parasailor.”

Angelika and Uwe, Beneteau Oceanis 50

“This sail is damned robust – we had it up in 30 knots apparent when an even stronger 45 knot gust hit and a sheets came loose. The damage to the sail was minimal, I even only noticed it the next day! We doused the sail, put some tape on the little tear and sailed on with the Parasailor for two full days non stop after.”

Matt Steadman, Privilege 495

“We at Hanseatische Yachtschule have been using the Parasailor since 2006 in our courses and during our voyages. Its ease of handling and forgiving nature make it a valuable piece of kit for shorthanded crews. A very useful alternative to spinnakers.”

Peter Herdan, Chief instructor Hanseatische Yachtschule

“On the 6th day we hoisted the Parasailor and were fortunate to be able to sail with it continuously for the next 9 days. During that time, we covered more than 200 NM in five consecutive 24-hour periods. On the 15th day, as we encountered a squall front with winds exceeding 30 knots, we had to take down the Parasailor and complete the — by then short — final stretch of the voyage using the ‘regular’ sails.”

Wolfgang Grünheid, Bavaria 46

“When we first hoisted our new Parasailor, our skipper Jean Lou — a seasoned sailor — confidently declared that a catamaran under spinnaker would never make real progress downwind. He watched briefly, muttered ‘this will never work,’ and disappeared back into his cabin.

But the Parasailor proved him wrong. After an entire day and night it was still flying strong, carrying us stress-free and in full comfort down the waves at 11 knots boat speed with a 160° wind angle — as if we were running on rails.

For us, the investment in this sail has more than paid off. We can only echo the words of renowned German sailor Bobby Schenk: never again without a Parasailor! Even Jean Lou ended up convinced, completely changing his mind.”

Heidi & Robert, Nautitech 44

“On our voyage from Pula (Croatia) to Istanbul and back, we were able to fly our new Parasailor non-stop for between 5 and 7 hours on several days. What an amazing experience!”

Renate & Stefan, Lagoon 410 S2

A sail for every cruising ground! Since we sail with just the two of us, ease of handling is absolutely essential. That’s why it is so meaningful to us that it was the Parasailor which carried us safely around Cape Horn. We sail it without a spinnaker pole, and it can be hoisted and doused with ease in no time at all. Simply fantastic!”

Nana Wegner & Andreas Wester, Etap 38i

“During my ocean crossing I flew my Parasailor for more than a week without taking it down once. I absolutely love my Parasailor — it truly delivers on its promises.”

Mike Harker, Hunter 49

“We hoist the Parasailor whenever we can — that is, whenever the wind is aft between 120° and 240°. Even with just 5 knots of wind, the sail already stands beautifully and drives us along at 2.5 to 3.5 knots, which is quite remarkable for a dedicated cruising yacht. And when the breeze picks up to around 20 knots, the log climbs steadily to 8 or 9 knots.

Another impressive feature of the Parasailor is how it relieves the bow. Because of the heavy load we carry for our long journey, our foredeck sits low, but the Parasailor noticeably lifts the bow out of the waves. We have sailed it comfortably in winds up to 22 knots — only beyond that do we take it down.

Handling the large Parasailor is something we manage easily as a crew of two. I helm the maneuvers while Ralf controls the sail at the bow. For hoisting or dousing, I start the engine and look for a favorable course with a good balance between wind and waves so the boat lies as calmly as possible. Then Ralf pulls the snuffer. As long as we take the time to do things deliberately, it all runs smoothly — never a problem, always effortless.”

Eva & Rolf, Sunbeam 39

“On our crossing to Antigua, the Parasailor was often flying day and night — and everyone on board was deeply impressed by the sail. Without it, the passage would certainly have taken us several days longer. What surprised us most was how incredibly stable the Parasailor stayed in broad reach conditions. We often preferred sailing under the Parasailor at night rather than with the genoa. During the final days, running downwind, the Parasailor was in fact our only sail — and it never left the sky.”

Sylvia & Org, Dixon 59 One Off

“We bought our Parasailor specifically for the ARC. Even though we only ordered it shortly before the start, the sail was delivered right on time, and the handover and instruction for our ARC crew went perfectly. During the crossing, we sailed with the Parasailor most of the time. It was fantastic — the sail stood so incredibly stable that our Dufour 525 hardly rolled at all in the 25-knot trade winds from astern.

After the ARC, our crew disembarked and we continued along the US East Coast with just the two of us. Even double-handed, we used the Parasailor often and with great pleasure — it’s wonderfully easy to handle and, quite simply, a joy to sail with!”

Amelie & Christoph Petri, Dufour 525

“We hoisted our Parasailor and sailed past the Canary Islands at 8 to 9 knots — occasionally even hitting 12.5 — all in complete ease and comfort. Judging by the smile on the face of our skipper, a very experienced spinnaker sailor, this sail has truly exceeded our expectations.”

Anders Lagerberg, Farr 56

“We had 22 knots of wind from astern, and the Parasailor simply performed magnificently. My yacht, a moderate long-keeler from the 1980s weighing 18 tons, was brought up to hull speed in under a minute. No rolling, no yawing, no uneasy motion — the sail stood as solid as a rock.”

Jürgen, Roberts 44

“On my crossing from Sardinia to Menorca, I used my new Parasailor about 60% of the time. I was genuinely surprised by how easy it was to trim, even at night. So far, I’m very satisfied with my investment, and I’m convinced the Parasailor will provide the drive I need for my future Atlantic and Pacific crossings.”

Joao Lima, Lagoon 420

“Even sailing at full speed with the Parasailor, my onboard film studio works perfectly. Sailing downwind effortlessly and without any problems — that’s what the Parasailor means to us.”

Rolf Versen

“We hoisted the Parasailor this morning and it has been flying ever since. Our sailing has improved in both speed and comfort. From now on, we’ll sail only with the Parasailor. It’s a beautiful sail with truly outstanding manners.”
