The New Generation Parasailor
A revolution in sailing!
Since 2003, the ISTEC Parasailor has become increasingly popular among cruising sailors. With its wing filled by wind pressure, it replaces both the spinnaker and gennaker on board. The New Generation Parasailor can easily be sailed by two people or even single-handedly. You can sail the Parasailor without a spinnaker pole, which makes it much easier to use.

Parasailor: making the best even better!
The New Generation Parasailor is a worthy successor to the classic Parasailor. Built on ISTEC’s expertise in winged sails, more than 20 years of experience, and thousands of Parasailors sold, it delivers even more sailing pleasure based on the latest aerodynamic insights.
The key difference from the ‘classic’ Parasailor is the redesigned hybrid wing. This improved wing gives the Parasailor its additional advantages. The wing has been made more compact, making the sail easier to store. And because the new wing protrudes less far forward, we have been able to increase the camber and angle of airflow. This, in turn, improves thrust, lift and shape stability.
Bart, Kim, and Liz sailed from Tenerife to Suriname across the Atlantic Ocean in 26 days. During this crossing, they tested the New Parasailor while at the same time providing a great insight into its use.
